HPAIR Recap and Tokyo Conference

A lot of people have approached me in the last couple of weeks and asked me about my experience with the Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations (HPAIR). I’ve attended two HPAIR conferences so far, in Dubai and Cambridge, MA, USA. Moreover, I had the opportunity to present the multifaceted work of a trading company at SPAIR e.V., the official HPAIR networking club for the DACH region, at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg, Germany.

I’ve shared a student accommodation with five Harvard students, explored Boston and New York, stayed in a suite at the 63rd floor of the Marriott Marquis Dubai, visited Airbus Middle East, talked to executives of Dubai Airport Free Zone, got interviewed for the next book on mentorship by Noam Kostucki and Lujie Chen… I learned about start-up’s like Inc42, whose founder Naren, my flat mate during the Dubai conference, just returned to India from his studies at Draper University of Hereos… I listened to speakers like Tan Sri Dr Munir Majid (formerly Malaysia Airlines), Dr. Ibrahim El-Ziq (UNICEF) and Howard Anderson (MIT) to just name a few… I’ve met people like Earl, Jobee and Riddhima amongst many others… Above all, I found the discussions and seminars extremely inspiring. I think the conferences are particularly interesting for ambitious business and economics students, who like to get to know students from other prestigious universities and who possess an interest in Asia.
